Description

All foreign vehicles that meet the technological and emission requirements for access must be registered in the List of vehicles authorized to circulate in the ZBEs described in this website.The process of checking environmental requirements may take up to 15 days.

Requirements

Vehicles of any type with foreign license plates may be registered in the List of Authorized Vehicles.

Vehicles that meet the environmental requirements will obtain a long-term authorization to circulate in the EPZs described on this website.

The requirements for registration of vehicles that meet the requirements to circulate are:

  • Motorcycles and mopeds (category L) classified as Euro 2 or higher (usually registered after 2003).
  • Passenger cars (M1) and vans (N1) classified as electric, gasoline Euro 3 (usually registered after 2000) or higher or diesel Euro 4 or higher (usually registered after 2005).
  • Trucks (N2, N3), buses and coaches (M2, M3): electric, diesel, Euro 4 or higher (usually registered after 2005).

The owners of vehicles that do not meet the environmental requirements and are not in moratorium, or those that meet the environmental requirements but need access to the ZBEs before their registration is verified, will be able to access without the need to carry out any formalities during the maximum annual number of daily accesses (in a calendar year) that is contemplated in the municipal ordinances.

The same applicant may register several vehicles.
